The new VK reed is made of a composite material specially developed by Vandoren, the result of 7 years of research.

This fiber composite material does not mimic the structure of reed. It reproduces its essential physical characteristics, allowing the same acoustic behavior to be achieved.

Vandoren's VK reed is completely unique, both in terms of the material it is made of and the method used to obtain it. It is the subject of an international patent.
